The IGP Piedmont Hazelnut inspires a Special Edition of Alpina and becomes the protagonist of a collection that invites you to rest… “with taste”.
It's written PGI but is actually "Protected Geographical Indication," the mark of origin recognized by the European Union for all agricultural and food products whose quality, characteristics, and reputation are inextricably linked to their geographical origin. What makes a product unique is the context in which it is grown, transformed, or processed, until it is released onto the market and becomes a treasure trove for the palate. To date, 257 products in Italy can boast this recognition, including 118 wine products and 139 agri-food products. Among these is the PGI Piedmont hazelnut, grown in the Lower Piedmont region, in the Alta Langa area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thanks to its flavor, ingredients, and production method, it has risen to the top of the list of noteworthy specialties.
