Ghiotto Galfrè, a historic company from Barge (CN) specializing in porcini mushroom processing since 1901, and Alpina Intimo, a Piedmontese intimate apparel and sleepwear brand founded in 1926, announce an exclusive collaboration that unites two centenary traditions rooted in the same territory, the same values, and the same approach to quality.
At the heart of this initiative is the CondiGhiotto sauce, made with porcini mushrooms and Italian tomatoes—the flagship condiment from the Barge-based company—and a capsule collection of Alpina sleepwear dedicated to the partnership.
With every purchase of a nightwear item from the special collection, you will receive a complimentary Galfrè CondiGhiotto: a small gesture that brings the comfort of home and the authentic taste of the Cuneo valleys to the same table.
Ghiotto Galfrè was founded in 1901 when Lorenzo Galfrè and his wife Felicita began preserving porcini mushrooms in olive oil in "burnie"—traditional Piedmontese jars—in an old building in the historic center of Barge.
Their products immediately won over the most exclusive shops in Turin and the restaurants frequented by the nobility of the time. The company grew from generation to generation, guarding the family recipes and secrets in a "sacred text."
In 2012, it received the "Historic Enterprise of Italy" recognition from the Cuneo Chamber of Commerce. In 2022, its historic logo—the peasant girl gathering porcini with Monviso in the background—officially entered the Register of Historic Trademarks of National Interest, protecting artisan craftsmanship and the Made in Italy label.
